Welcome to Beyond Zero – a glimpse into the world we can realize
Imagine looking back from 2060 down the path to a recovering climate that we travelled.
Investments in ecosystem restoration and protection mature. Healthy forests are growing where severe disturbance was the norm and are absorbing and storing carbon.
Renewable energy systems - wind, hydro, geothermal, hydrogen, solar - proactively constructed now energize a decarbonized economy.
Hydrocarbons are no longer unsustainable fuels. They have become a source of zero emission hydrogen and carbon fibre.
First Nations communities are thriving leaders as co-owners and stewards of the technological and natural systems that are the foundation of our decarbonized economy.
Net Zero is not a destination; it’s a milestone on our journey Beyond Zero into a recovering climate.
